Online Facilitator

COSTI REQUIRES AN ONLINE FACILITATOR AT THE CALEDONIA EMPLOYMENT SERVICES CENTRE

Duties:

  • Provide assistance, guidance, information and referrals to clients, related to employment and the Canadian labour market.
  • Prepare and deliver on-line courses, workshops and webinars modules to support job search, job matching/development.
  • Assist with client on-line and visitor orientation, client registration and user support for Employment On Line Services (OLS) components.
  • Research, and maintain updated materials/links related to employment, education, training, relevant legislation/codes and community services on the Moodle platform.
  • Conduct outreach to employers and regulatory bodies to conduct live or pre-recorded information webinars.
  • Support clients in pursuing their employment action plans based on their career goals and provide appropriate referral to online courses/workshops/webinars.
  • Collect client workshop enrolment data and feedback to measure service satisfaction, inform continuous improvement planning and compile service statistical and narrative reports.
  • Confirm full client intake data entry and linkage with Client Information System for service statistics.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:

  • Career and Work diploma or equivalent with relevant employment practicum experience.
  • Must have a minimum of nine (9) months full-time employment counselling and/or experience providing employment based group facilitation.
  • Must have four (4) months of direct working experience with on-line information/training applications and ability to provide technical troubleshooting. Direct experience with Moodle and GoToWebinar and virtual seminars are definite assets.
  • Knowledge of job search programs, job creation programs, education and training programs and subsidized training options required.
  • Life skills Training Coach Certificate would be an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of Internet, E-mail, and Windows environment software e.g. Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written fluency in English in order to accurately relay complex information to a wide variety of clients online.
  • The ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset.
  • Knowledge of and comfort with a diverse, multicultural clientele and community required.
  • Must be able to work shift involving some evenings.

    Notes:

    This position will support the Active Engagement and Integration Project (AEIP) in partnerships with S.U.C.C.E.S.S and will provide direct online services to immigrants overseas through a coordinated and efficient model that fosters effective partnerships among key immigrant integration stakeholders in the settlement sector. This is a Union position scheduled to work 28 hours per week**. **Hours of work shall be scheduled in accordance with Article 12.01and shall consist of four (4) seven (7) hour days, Monday to Friday. Priority consideration will be given to those on Notice of Recall.
