Human Resources Summer Student

COSTI HEAD OFFICE REQUIRES A HUMAN RESOURCES SUMMER STUDENT

Duties:

  • Works with Senior HR staff to sort and file incoming applications, and responds to inquiries from possible candidates.
  • Assist HR Staff with updating and posting vacant positions on all external job-posting boards.
  • Monitors, tracks and saves all incoming resumes in a shared drive.
  • Distributes qualified resumes to the various hiring managers.
  • Provides back up support to the Human Resources staff as needed.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.
  • Qualifications:

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment.
  • Was registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year.
  • Intends to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year.
  • Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • Is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/ territorial legislation and regulations.
  • Preference will be given to those enrolled in a post-secondary Human Resources Program, however, must have completed the Recruitment and Selection prerequisite course.
  • Experience working with MS Office 2016 with emphasis on Excel and Word.

    Starting Salary Range:

    $11.40 per hour
