ESL Intermediate

The ESL Intermediate level program teaches students with previous exposure to the English language to improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. This program is delivered by certified instructors in partnership with the Toronto and York Catholic District School Board.

Services Available

    Students attending the ESL Intermediate level program, will:

  • improve their conversation skills;
  • learn the rules of basic grammar structures within conversation; and
  • participate in simple conversation through various class discussions and exercises.

Who is Eligible

Services are available to Canadian citizens, landed immigrants, convention refugees, or refugee claimants approved by Citizenship Immigration Canada. Students must be 18 years of age or older.

Program Intake

There is a nominal administrative fee charged for the Toronto ESL Intermediate program.

The ESL Intermediate program is funded by the Government of Canada and Ontario.
