Housing Drop-In

COSTI’s Housing Drop-In program is designed to meet the specific needs of women and children who are under-housed, at risk of becoming homeless, face cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic barriers to suitable housing, and have limited resources for transportation and childcare.

Services Available

  • Referrals and advocacy towards securing sustainable housing.
  • Preventing eviction services for women and their families.
  • Complimentary group programs provide opportunities for women to socialize and build networks.
  • Volunteer activities include meaningful work experience and reduction of social isolation.
  • Life skills learning in a supportive environment: money management, stress/assertiveness/self awareness; Canadian culture in the workplace; housing search skills; internet and computer skills.

    Staff at this location speak Albanian, Arabic, English, Greek, Hindi, Spanish, and Urdu. Other languages can be made available upon request.

Who is Eligible

Services are available to all women and children residing in the North York area who are under-housed, at risk of becoming homeless and/or who face cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic barriers to suitable housing.

Program Intake

Monday – Wednesday: 8:30 am to 6:30 pm

Thursday and Friday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
