Women-specific Employment-related language courses support women in finding jobs in child care, food services, or retail sales/customer service area.
This job-specific training for women is focused on enhancing their knowledge & vocabulary related to the specific occupational sector and facilitating their transition to employment.
Services Available
The program components include:
Job-specific language training (childcare, food services, retail sales/customer service)
- Occupation-related vocabulary & terminology
- Field trips to workplaces
- Sector-specific guest speakers
- Support with the employment search
Who is Eligible
COSTI's Women-specific Employment Training is available to female students who are Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, or Minister’s Permit holders.
All participants must present proof of completed CLB language assessment or updated proficiency results prior to joining the class.
Program Intake
This is a 6-week training, offered on Saturdays, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.
The WSET program intake for 2021-22 is scheduled on:
