WRAP Program

COSTI’s virtual 8-week WRAP Program was designed for Ontario Works (OW) participants who are focusing on boosting self-confidence, motivation and life management skills to help them overcome life stabilization issues they are currently experiencing. To be eligible, participants must be on Ontario Works, residents of Toronto, have access to program offers personalized goals and step-by-step action planning, one-on-one Life Skills counselling, structured workshop activities in a virtual supportive group environment. In addition, participants will have access to various resources, programs & services, educational/skills training and pre-employment preparation that will contribute to achievement of personal goals, enhanced confidence, resilience, self-reliance and overall quality of life.

Services Available

Program intake is comprised of an individualized in-depth assessment to determine suitability, identify and record current needs and stabilization issues that clients are currently facing. The Program is delivered via MS Teams, emails, telephone, one-on-one and in a virtual group environment. Structured workshop topics covered include:

  • Goal Setting
  • Time Management
  • Self-esteem & Confidence Building
  • Motivation
  • Stress Management
  • Health and Wellness: handling issues of Anxiety, Depression and Mental Health, etc.

Guest Speakers will present on: Money Management; Health/Nutrition, Canada Income Tax Benefit, Toronto Public Library Services, Fire Safety and much more. 

In addition, participants will acquire a greater awareness and understanding of community supports available to them; receive help to address life skills, mental, physical and emotional needs.  As well, participants will develop and improve their peer networking skills, access education and/or pre-employment preparation/skills training that will promote and facilitate in their becoming self-reliant.

Who is Eligible

To be eligible, participants must be on Ontario Works, residents of Toronto, have access to internet/Wifi, computer/tablet or Smart phone.

To become involved in the program all participants must be referred by their Ontario Works Case Worker.
