Mindset Makeover - Empowering Professional Newcomer Women of Diverse Backgrounds
Goal: This initiative aims to help professional newcomer women of diverse backgrounds in overcoming mental and physical obstacles, thereby rebuilding their confidence as they prepare to seek employment in Canada.
Mindset Makeover is a preparatory program made to empower women, linking mental health and financial success. It is a holistic approach that boosts mental well-being and serves as a pre-cursor to financial empowerment. With Mindset Makeover, we are not just shifting mindsets; we are changing lives by paving the path for economic enhancement.
Services Available
Our objective is to help newcomer women of diverse backgrounds discover their potential, boost their confidence, lessen uncertainty about their careers and offer knowledge about women's rights, gender equality and support systems in Canada. We also focus on building social and professional connections, including providing peer mentoring. All these efforts are aimed at meeting the specific needs of our target group, so that they can smoothly integrate into the Canadian workforce and achieve success.
Who is Eligible
- Newcomer women of diverse backgrounds with a college or university degree and one year experience in a professional occupation.
- English proficiency: At least CLB Level 6.
- Currently unemployed or underemployed.
- Not attending full-time school or enrolled in an apprenticeship program.
- Permanent resident, Canadian citizen, refugee with work permit or CUEAT work permit.
