ESV SCHOLARHIP FUND FOR AFGHAN YOUTH
COSTI is excited to announce The ESV Scholarship Fund for Afghan Youth!
The ESV Scholarship Fund for Afghan Youth is designed to recognize high academic achievement and financial need of an Afghan newcomer who is a current or former COSTI client, under the age of thirty and enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution.
Applications are evaluated by the Scholarship Awards Committee. Three scholarships, up to a maximum of $3,000 are available for 2022/23.
The scholarhip founders chose to support furthering the education of Afghan Youth to ensure the recipients have a solid foundation in Canada for their future. This education fund is near and dear to their hearts as Erika Veh’s father is an immigrant from Germany whose family fled to Canada just after WWII. Erika and her family hope this scholarship benefits the desire for higher education and helps secure a bright future for the recipients.
We invite undergraduate and graduate students to participate.
Program Application
Application materials must be emailed by the application deadline, along with a Letter of Recommendation and Academic Transcript. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
All Application Packages Must Include:
- A completed Scholarship Application Form
- An Official Academic Transcript(s);
- A minimum of one reference letter
- A short essay outlining why the scholarship is significant, along with career/occupational objectives
- Signed Application and Release Form
A selection committee reviews all scholarship applications. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of application submission, including quality and substance of writing, academic record, and financial need.
Amount Of Awards
Up to a total of $3,000
Notification
Due to the volume of applications received, COSTI will only notify applicants who are selected to receive a scholarship. Selected scholarship recipients will be notified by email by October 14, 2022. Names of recipients will be posted on the COSTI website in late November 2022..
The ESV Scholarship Fund Deadline is September 30, 2022.
